Eye to Eye
Nostalgia and a Choice
Natalie brought it up herself, over tea, after the light outside had gone and the kitchen had narrowed to the warm circle of one lamp. She warmed her hands on the cup and spoke quietly, like she was tasting the idea before she committed to it. For the last few days, she admitted, one memory had refused to let her go — the particular arithmetic of a night with three people in it, where every breath lands in two bodies at once and comes back to you doubled. She wanted that again: not just another man’s hands, but the dynamic where one man’s tenderness overlaps the other’s drive and you end up exactly in the middle.
I didn’t argue, and I wasn’t going to. I liked the way her eyes lit up while we went through the profiles together, shoulder to shoulder, ruling one man out after another. One wrote too smoothly, like he was working from a script. Another asked for photos in his first message. A third promised too much. We landed on Damien almost at the same moment — I hadn’t finished talking before Natalie had already put her finger on the screen. Tall, calm, dark-haired, somewhere around thirty, with none of the posturing the others had: he wrote in short, plain messages, asked the things worth asking, and that did more for us than any compliment could.
We agreed to meet at our place, and the evening started with dinner, because that was easiest for all three of us. I opened the wine, Natalie set the table, and for the first few minutes we just talked, feeling out a shared rhythm. Damien turned out to be easy company — he listened closely, joked rarely but well, and never once rushed the night along. The wine took the first edge off, the conversation found its own way, and the flirting held at the fine line where nothing has been said out loud and everything is already understood. Natalie, in a silk robe over lace, sat between us and ran her part flawlessly: passing me my glass, she let her fingers rest on my hand a second too long; answering Damien, she let her eyes rest on him a second longer than the answer needed. Under the table her bare foot came to rest against my ankle, as if by accident, and stayed there, warm, while she told Damien something light and funny. I caught every move of it and felt something wind tight inside me.
Eye to Eye
After midnight, once the bottle was empty and the conversation had trailed into pauses of its own accord, we moved to the bedroom. Fresh sheets in cool satin, the lamp low in the corner, the half-dark that makes everything simpler. Natalie undid the sash in the doorway and let the robe slip off one shoulder, but didn’t take it all the way off — she left that work to the men. She lay down first, in the middle of the wide bed, her back to Damien, her face to me. She didn’t settle right away: she fixed the pillow, drew up one knee, as if working out the one angle from which she’d be able to see my face.
I lay down across from her, close. There was a hand’s width between our faces, no more, and we looked straight into each other’s eyes. Her pupils, wide from the wine and the waiting, held tiny reflections of the lamp. She bit her lower lip and didn’t look away — and that was the whole rule of the game, one we hadn’t even agreed on out loud: whatever Damien did behind her, she would be watching me.
He settled onto the bed behind her, and the mattress dipped under his weight. Without hurrying he laid a hand on her hip, ran it up the line of her waist to her ribs — I saw the first shiver run over her skin — and then slowly drew her back against him, her spine to his chest. Natalie let out a low, broken breath straight into my face, and that breath said more than any words would have. I lay eight inches away and watched her start to melt from one stranger’s touch: her lips parting, her eyelids growing heavy, the effort it took her to keep her eyes open and not break our bargain. His hand covered her breast over the lace, squeezed, and Natalie rocked her hips back into him. Something in me went low and sweet.
“Don’t close your eyes,” I said quietly.
“I won’t,” she answered, barely voicing it.
A Double Pull
Damien found the clasp and took her bra off, then slid the silk of the robe away for good, and Natalie was bare on the cool satin. I propped myself up higher, a pillow under my elbow, so I could see all of it. Feeling my eyes on her, she arched and pressed her thighs together, still holding my gaze with hers; the flush I knew by heart came up on her collarbones and her cheeks. Her nipple had gone tight before his mouth even reached it.
He kissed the back of her neck, then turned her face to him by the chin and took her mouth — long, deep. She answered, reaching a hand back and running her fingers into his hair, small muffled sounds forming in her throat. His hand, meanwhile, moved down her stomach — lower, lower, until his fingers settled between her legs. Natalie went still on an inhale, then slowly opened her thighs, letting his hand in, and moaned into my face as he began to stroke her.
“He’s touching me,” she whispered, looking at me. “Right now. Do you see what it does to me—”
She didn’t finish. Damien moved down the length of her, spread her knees wider, and put his mouth to her. Her hips lifted toward him on their own. He worked her slowly with his tongue, listening to her breathing and matching it, and the first real shiver went across her stomach — I saw it before I heard it. Natalie reached across the bed and found my hand; her fingers tightened on mine in time with what his tongue was doing to her, and I read everything in that grip that she couldn’t say out loud. The wet of her shone on her thighs, and from the way her breath sped up I knew the first wave was close — but Damien felt it too, and drew back, leaving her right at the edge.
No Rush
He rose onto his knees between her open legs, opened his belt, and freed himself — heavy, hard, the veins standing out. Natalie drew a short breath, reached out, and closed her fingers around him as if weighing him, ran her palm from base to head, and I watched that weight register in her face — hunger and impatience at once.
“Taste it,” he said quietly, no push behind it.
She glanced back at him over her shoulder, then found me again with her eyes — and only then, as if asking my permission with a single look, took him into her mouth. She took him deep, wet, her hand helping at the base; her other palm settled on his thigh. Her head moved in an even rhythm, cheeks hollowing, and every time she rose she ran her tongue over the head before sinking down again. Damien gathered her dark hair into his fist and held it, not rushing her, just guiding the pace. Her eyes shone with the effort, wet at the corners, but she kept lifting them to me anyway — checking that I was watching, and I was, without a break.
After a couple of minutes he eased her off, laid her on her back, and hooked her legs over his shoulders. He set the head against her, slid wet against her once, twice, teasing, and then pushed in with one long, even stroke — all the way.
“Ah—” Natalie grabbed the sheet with both hands and threw her eyes open on me. “He’s in. Do you see? Do you see how deep he is?”
He moved steadily and deep, driving her into the mattress with measured strokes. Her breasts rocked with it, her nipples tight, her breath breaking into short cries — and her gaze never left mine. She matched his rhythm, met him with her hips, and with every stroke her words got more shameless — she named out loud everything they were doing to her, as if the pleasure wouldn’t be complete without the telling. That splitting of her — her body with him, her eyes and her words with me — closed my throat.
She reached up, caught the back of my head, and pulled me down to her mouth. I kissed her — deep, swallowing her moan — while Damien went on moving inside her, and in that kiss his rhythm seemed to travel through her body and into mine.
To the Edge
“Turn over,” Damien said, hoarse, slowing and pulling out.
Natalie went obediently onto all fours in the middle of the bed, arched her back, and spread her knees. In the half-dark I could see the shine of her, open and ready, and a drop of wet break loose onto the sheet. He fit himself behind her, set his broad hands on her hips to hold her, and went in again — one stroke, to the hilt. Natalie pitched forward with the force of it and immediately pushed back, taking him deeper.
“Yes—” she cried into the pillow, right by my knees, then lifted her face to catch my eyes again. “Again. Like that, again. Look at me, don’t look away—”
The slap of his hips against her carried through the room in a steady, heavy count. He took a fast, hard pace, and Natalie rocked back to meet him, taking every stroke with her whole body. With one hand he gathered her hair and pulled it lightly, making her arch her spine and lift her face — and now she looked up at me, mouth open, pushing toward me with every stroke. I stroked her cheek, her neck damp with sweat, while she caught at the air and kept her eyes open — holding onto our bargain like a rail.
“Tell him what you want,” I said quietly.
“Deeper,” she breathed — not to me, to him, but looking at me while she said it. “Harder. Don’t go easy on me.”
He didn’t. Natalie arched, shook, and broke into a long, piercing climax, clenching around him and calling out broken words straight into my face. I felt her fingers find mine blind and grip them hard enough to hurt.
“Come,” she begged, looking at me. “Inside. All of it, every drop.”
Damien made a few last short strokes and spilled into her with a low groan, all the way deep. He held still, pressed against her, and Natalie let out a long, satisfied breath, lowering her forehead to the pillow — then turned her head again at once, to find me.
A Sweet Thank-You
Natalie stayed on all fours, breathing hard, her body still twitching with the aftershocks, a thin sheen of sweat between her shoulder blades. When Damien pulled out, a white line worked its way slowly down the inside of her thigh.
I couldn’t hold back. I came around the bed, lowered myself onto my knees behind her, and put my mouth to her, swollen and still pulsing. I gathered the warm heat another man had left, my tongue moving between the folds, missing nothing, and I tasted the two of them mixed, salt and heat. Natalie moaned, long and low, arching her back and pushing toward me.
“Yes,” she breathed into the dark. “Like that. Clean all of it.”
She loved the contrast, and I knew it: feeling her husband take his pleasure in cleaning up after another man — the way the thing that should have divided us bound us tighter instead. She pushed back against my face, giving herself over to my tongue, and looked back over her shoulder to find me with her eyes again. I raised my head just enough to catch her gaze without lifting my mouth from her, and a new, quiet wave went across her face.
The Taste of It
Damien stepped closer, coming around the side of the bed. Still wet from her, he lowered himself to her face. He tipped her chin up and brought the head to her lips.
“Take it,” he said, low.
Natalie raised her clouded, happy eyes to him and took him into her mouth without hesitation — along with the trace of everything that had happened. She sucked slowly, moaning low around him, her tongue running over the head, savoring the shared taste that had his and mine mixed in it. One hand held him at the base; the other reached back and found my palm on her hip.
Behind her I went on working her with my tongue; in front of her she held Damien in her mouth — and she was exactly in the center of it, at the one point where the two of us met. And then, catching my eyes in the dark over everything that was happening to her, she found me again, the way she’d promised without words, and didn’t let go until the very end — until the last of the tremors left her and she sank onto the sheet between us, laughing softly with exhaustion and with how happy she was.
